Peacefully in the loving care of BUPA Ascot Care Home on Friday, 5th August 2022. Much loved wife of the late Bert and daughter of the late Fredrick & Violet Evans. Loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of Ken & Sharen (Te Anau), Stuart & Judy (Australia), Neil & Sue (Auckland), Margaret & John Johnson (Invercargill). Loved and cherished Nana of Amy Kreft, Philippa Stevenson, Kindra Ryder, Craig Bradley, Hilary Bradley, Gemma Roest, Kelli Johnson, Matthew Johnson, and Kimberly McClenaghan. Loved Great Nana of Sarah, & Alex Kreft; Isla, & Mackinnon Stevenson; Sophie, & Tommy Ryder; Mali Bradley; George Roest; and Theo McClenaghan. BRAGG, Robert Steven (Bob):
Bob passed away peacefully on Sunday 7th August 2022. Aged 73 years. Loved and adored husband of Coralyne (Cod). Loved father of Shane, Michele, and the late Steven. Loved Grandfather of Jasmine, Skye, Shane, Shantelle, Jaimee, and Zak. Great grandfather of Kohen. In accordance with Bob’s wishes a private cremation has taken place. A Remembrance Gathering for Bob will be held at 1pm, on Sunday 14th August 2022 at the Waiau Town and Country Club, 41 King Street Tuatapere. Sadly passed away after a courageous battle on August 9, 2022. Loved daughter of the late Mavis and Eric Bradley. Loved sister of the late Eleanor Sexton and Jill McCallum. WAKA, Moses (Alfred):
Kua hinga te tōtara i te waonui a Tāne. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of (Alfred) Waka Moses of Motupōhue (Bluff). He passed away peacefully, early morning on Tuesday 8th August 2022 surrounded by his loved ones at his home on Barrow Street, Bluff. He began his life in Mataora Bay in the north island, developed his career as he headed southward through Nelson doing his apprenticeship in trades, followed his brother Lou and cousin Margy to Invercargill where he served as a prison officer. Waka eventually found his forever home and community in the town of Bluff. He will be forever missed and loved by his loving partner, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.
Waka’s tangi will be at Te Rau Aroha marae in Bluff with the final service held on 11am Friday, 12 August.
