ELFORD, Maurice John. (Formerly of Invercargill). On February 7, 2019, in the loving care of Resthaven, Gore. Dearly loved husband and best friend of the late Mavis. Loved father and father-in-law of Garry and Alison (Perth), Stephen and Maggie (Clyde), Michael and Sharon (Cromwell), Donna and Bruce Hastie (Gore), and Patricia*. Dearly loved Grandad of Nathan and Brendon Elford (Perth), Leigh Elford (Wellington), Lisa Given (Owaka), and Brad Hastie (Gore), Lana Elford (Cromwell), and loved Super Grandad of all his great-grandchildren. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Neil and Faye Bulivant (Katikati). Loved brother-in-law of Joan and Murray McIntosh (Invercargill), Elsie* and Bill* Sycamore, Pearl* and Ron* Stonehouse, Ruby* and Norris* Galbraith. Much loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. HAYWOOD, Gregory Allan. Formerly of Thornbury. Passed away on February 1, 2019 in Indonesia, age 57. Son of Allan and Margaret Haywood, brother of Joanne and Sharon. Dearly loved father of Megan, Samuel, Andrew, Katherine and William. There will be an informal wake at the Riverton RSA at 1.30pm, Wednesday, February 13. All welcome to attend.
LILLIE, Margaret. Passed away peacefully at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Stuart and Sue, John and Trish, and Steve. TITHER, Irene Mary. (nee Forde). Passed away on February 4, 2019, aged 83. Dearly loved wife of the late Michael Tither. Treasured mother of Stephen, Pauline, and the late Mark and mother-in-law of Sue Watts and Michael Tompkins. Loved sister and sister-in-law of the respective Forde and Tither families. Fondly remembered by her friends, nieces, and nephews. TODD, John Clark. In his 97th year. Passed away peacefully on February 5, 2019, at Clutha Views Lifecare. Dearly loved husband of the late Pamela, loved father and father-in-law of Lynley and Stephen Rae, Gail and Graeme Saxton, Karen and Lindsay Cubitt, treasured Grandad of Lisa and Arthur, Cory and Becky, Tracey and Nick, Nikki and Craig, and a loved Great-Grandad of Ryan, Todd, and Hailey. A service of farewell for John will be held on Monday, February 11, at 1.30pm in our Chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha, followed by a private cremation. WYATT, Margaret Rose (Rosie). Peacefully at Southland Hospital on Tuesday, February 5, 2019; in her 80th year. Much loved wife of the late Pat, much loved mum of Debra and Graham, Chris and Debbie. Much loved Nana of Zoe and Jamie, Jacob and Jasmine, Tiffany and Steve, Tara and Scott, Danni and Richard, cherished Nana Rose of Axel, James, Dom, Dylan, Hunter, Jack, Tatum-Rose, Dion, Braxton and Loki. Rosie will be resting at home until her service. A service to celebrate Rosie’s life will be held in the St Mary’s Star of the Sea, Catholic Church, 194 Barrow Street, Bluff, on Monday, February 11, at 1.00pm, interment to follow at Greenpoint Cemetery. The family of the late Patricia (Pat) Harrington R.I.P. who died on January 22, 2019, would like to acknowledge and most sincerely thank all who sympathised with us on the passing of our mother.
