Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Garry and Sarita, Andrew and Kirsty, Malcolm and Cushla, Joe, Mark and Joyce, Rachel and Keith. Loved Grandad and Great-Grandad of all his grand and great-grandchildren, in Australia and New Zealand. Loved brother and brother-in-law of all his siblings. Of Wanaka. Peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Dunstan Hospital; aged 78 years. Dearly loved wife and soulmate of Ewan for 58 years, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Cameron, Nick and Sandra, and Duncan, loved nana of Aleisha, Hayden; Jaimee, Jessica, Fletcher, and Eliza. A service for Edna will be held in the Wanaka Presbyterian Church, 91 Tenby Street, Wanaka, at 1.30pm, on Tuesday, August 11, followed by private cremation. ROBERTS, Deborah Ann (Debbie):
Of Cromwell (formerly of Dunedin). Passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved partner of Gilly Adams. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Simon and Kerri; the late Kate; and Matthew and Clare. Treasured Nana Deb of Baxter and Emerson, and Goldie. Loved daughter of the late Maurice and Lila Freeman. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Stephen and Josie; and Linda and Gerard. A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held at the Cromwell Town and Country Club, 32 Melmore Terrace, Cromwell, on Thursday, August 13, at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation. SHEARER, Wendy Mavis (nee Sadlier):
Wendy passed peacefully on Monday 3rd August 2020 with her loving family by her side at Peacehaven Hospital, aged 83 years. Dearly loved daughter of the late Lily and George Sadlier. Wendy who was such a colourful wee lady and the eldest of 12, will be missed by her family of Lorna* and Alex* Croft, Beth* Haberfield, Melvin and Cindy* (Edendale), Rita Ave, Hilary and Alan* Paterson (Christchurch), Victor and Isabell (Perth), David*, Lionel (WA), Neville & Vicki (Gore), Philip*, Allan and Lorraine, and her nieces and nephews. The family wish to sincere thank the staff from Peacehaven for their care of Wendy during these past few weeks and a special thanks to her dearest friend Sally Tily for all her help and support. Sadly, Wendy has left her family and friends. Her time may have come, but she will be missed. Wendy was a humble wee soul with a huge personality, who often told you how it was, so you knew where you stood. Wendy worried more about others than herself and was a little ‘diamond in the rough.’ A heartfelt thanks goes to Gita, Jackie, Robyn and other staff from Peacehaven who endeavoured to make Wendy as comfortable as possible. Of Letts Gully. Passed away peacefully at home, on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer, in his 47th year.
