Craig, Hamish, Hannah, Harriet, Morgan, Annika, Jean, Stewart, and families wish to express their sincere thank you to everyone that sent cards, flowers, food and phone calls on the recent passing of Leeanne. The amount of support and kindness shown was just so overwhelming and we were humbled by it all. Grateful thanks to the Southland Hospice, Oncology Dunedin and Auckland for your care and compassion shown in looking after Leeanne. Special thanks to Avenal Park Funeral Home for the amazing respect and kindness shown to us all. Margaret and Laurie Woodford, Kathleen and Tom Welsh and their families would like to thank everyone for their support and kindness following the accidental death of their loved brother and uncle, especially the Hore family and their staff at Beaumont Station. Also the local Fire Brigades, St John, the Police and the LandSAR team for their assistance. To everyone who contributed to making Alex’s funeral a fitting farewell, the van der Vort family (venue), Phill Thomson for loaning his Dodge Ram, the Central Otago Hot Rod Club and all those who brought their vehicles on the day, to Affinity Funerals, Dave Ramsey celebrant and those who paid tribute to Alex. Thanks also to Alastair for playing the bagpipes at the Millers Flat Cemetery and the Rural Woman for the afternoon tea. Thank you for the many cards, flowers and expressions of support from friends and family, workmates employers and fellow Hot Rod enthusiasts from around the country. We wish to acknowledge the help of John Weir who assisted us in so many ways in the past months. Alex loved his old Dodge cars, his racing mates, his school friends, his former workmates from Deep Cove/ Manapouri to the Snow Farm and those he worked for in the Roxburgh area, your contributions have been appreciated. He dined out locally and visited his friends regularly for a cup of tea and a chat. We miss the phone calls, visits and the noise of his old dodge rumbling to a stop.
The teapot run has come to an end but our memories live on.

Aged 76 of Invercargill. Passed peacefully after a long battle on Friday 29 April 2022. Adored and cherished Mum of Laura and Cody, and the late Jon. Dearly loved Nana of Keenan and Tatiana, Thomas, Lucca, and Lilli-May. Loved youngest sister of Alice, Myrtle, Tommy, and Janice (all deceased).
