Formerly of Clydevale. In her 81st year. Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2019, at Gore Hospital supported by family. Much loved wife and best friend of Raymond for 57 years. Dearly loved Mum of Gary and Victoria, Susan and Wayne Smith, Adrian and Karen. Loved Grannie of Sean, Lachlan, Megan; Alisha, Hayley, and the late Cameron; Dylan, and Nicole. Much loved daughter of the late Isie and Davie Kerr, loved sister and sister-in-law of Maurice, Alan and Carolee, Russell and the late Biddy, and Lynette. Much loved cousin of Bev Grant, and loved aunty of all her nieces and nephews. In accordance with Margaret’s wishes a private service has been held. FORREST, Dorothy Isobel.
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village; in her 93rd year. Loved daughter of the late Percy and Tina Scott, and loved sister of the late Malcolm and the late June. Beloved wife of the late Harvey for 50 years. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Rex and Barbara (Te Anau), John and Jane (Christchurch), Alan (Queenstown), and Shirley (Arrowtown). Dearly loved Grandma of Mathew and Nicholas, Kirsten and James, Lucy, Rachel and George. A special thanks to the wonderful nurses and carers at Rowena Jackson Village for their untiring compassion and care for Dorothy over the past few months, and especially to Robyn and Hugh Miller and Ken and Amanda Bowie for their wonderful support and assistance for Dorothy over many years. On October 23, 2019, peacefully at Parklands Hospital, Christchurch, in his 89th year. Dearly loved husband of Jenny, loved father of Murray, and loving granddad of Fynn and Zara. Also loved father of Sally, Desley, and the late Jan, and families. A special thank you to the dedicated, patient and caring staff at Parklands Hospital, and to all who have provided care and support to Maurice and his family. HOWELL, Louis Acker.
Passed away peacefully at St Joseph’s Home of Compassion on October 29, 2019, after a short illness. Dearly loved husband of the late Georgia. Loved father of Steve, Teresa, Brent, Catherine and Justin. Will be dearly missed by his sister Fay, grandchildren David, Craig, Natalie, Manson, Rose, Connor and his extended family. Loving daughter of the late Bill and Vera, loved sister of Marie and Stuart, Nola and Trevor (deceased), Wilma and Kevin, loved aunty of her nieces and nephews, and a great friend to many. John’s family would like to thank all those that attended his funeral in Mossburn. The support that we have received has been amazing, especially to those who helped us get through our stay in Dunedin.
