BARTLEY, David Anthony:
5.07.1970 – 08.09.2022
Lisa and Eli, Tony and Sue Bartley, Jacqui and Kevin Godfrey, Lyn and John Rhodes, and our families, would like to thank everyone for their support during Dave’s illness and his passing. The cards, the flowers, the food, and the visits have been truly amazing. A huge thank you to Steve Boutcher, Dean Miller, Tony Jenkins, and Wayne Ellis, Graham Maddoc, Brendan Marrable, Scott Fairweather and Dave Currie for sharing their stories and their huge support over the last 8 months. To our Harcourts Team, once again thank you all for your never-ending support. To everyone that attended Dave’s service and watched online thank you for your time.
Our Tree has fallen and the last bell has been rung but he will always be our rock. Now dancing in Heaven with his Princess.

BEALE, Anne Catherine (nee Lynch):
On October 26, 2022, passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, and cared for by her loving family. Much loved wife of Sydney for 59 years, mother and mother-in-law of Mark and Judy, Conon and Deb, Rochelle and Geoff, and Sharyn, loved Nanny of Sam, Alysha, Jordan, Sam, Kathryn, Savannah, Mykelti, Matthew, Ben, Catherine and Joshua, much loved sister of Jim, Bart, Johnny, Joan, Pat, Colleen, Thomas, Maurice, Mary, Frank and Bryan, loved sister-in-law of Bruce, Jeffrey, Evan, Keith, Jillian and Ralph, and a lovely aunty to countless nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank WesleyCare and their staff for their amazing care and love over the past 10 months. COCKBURN, Rex Donald:
Passed peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday 25th October 2022, aged 77 years. Dearly loved husband of Marg. Father and father-in-law of Jill, Cheryl and Greg Price, and Greg and Jodi. Loved Grandad of Nick, Elliott, Ruby; Noah, and Tallulah. A celebration of Rex’s life will be held at the Te Anau Events Centre on Monday 31st October at 2.00pm. CORMACK, Patricia Ann (Pat) (nee Skinner):
Peacefully at Maniototo Hospital on Friday, October 28, 2022; aged 82 years (formally of Dunedin). Loved daughter of John* and Margaret* Skinner, wife of Wattie*, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Steve and Cheryl (Ranfurly), Ray and Sheryl (Dunedin), and Lauren and Geoff (Ranfurly), loved nana of Jack, Marc, Blake, and Hannah Cormack; Bradly Shaw; and Josh Hoad, loved sister and sister in law of Brian and Dawn (Invercargill), Joan and Mike (Dunedin), and Diane and Bill (Balclutha), and loved aunt of her nieces and nephews, a very special friend of Pauline and Chris Watts. A huge thank you to Dr Vern Smith and the staff of the Maniototo Medical Centre, also special thanks to Jane Harris. Mum’s last days were spent with the caring staff of the Maniototo Hospital. GAZZARD, Mel (John Melville):
Sylvia, Nick, David and family would like to thank everyone for their help and support at the time of Mel’s sudden passing. A very special thanks to Mike and Maureen Hansen and Marie and Kim Wilkinson for their kind and caring support when we found Mel.Thank you to the St John Ambulance, the Fire Brigade and the Police who all made the situation easier to deal with. Thank you to Affinity Funerals for their caring and professional guidance. Thank you to the Wakatipu Rugby Club, the Wakatipu Yacht Club and the Frankton Arms Tavern for their generous support. Thank you to Mel’s nephew, John More, for the respectful way in which he conducted the service and to Kim Wilkinson, Simon Hayes, Jim Boult, Mike Hansen and Sue More for their thoughtful reflections on Mel’s life – and antics! Thank you to all who helped celebrate his life with cards, baking, flowers, phone calls and attended his funeral. Thank you for sharing your stories and memories.

Passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday 27th October 2022, in her 89th year. Loved wife of the late Phelim (Phil) and loved mum of her children; Anne-Marie, John, Paul, and Terry. Dearly loved Grandma and much-loved Great Grandma of children from New Zealand and Australia.
We will all miss her.

Peacefully at Hospice Southland on Thursday 20 October 2022. Dearly loved wife and soulmate of Ray, and the late Jim Cross, a much loved mother and mother-in-law of Waric and Jeanette Cross, Lyal and Kristel Cross, and Nathan and Kate Cross, Loved and respected friend of David* and Genevieve, Kay, Michael and Lyn, and Anthony and Jo. SUGGATE, Hazel Ena:
Peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Yvette Williams Rest Home, Dunedin, aged 87 years. Loved daughter of the late George and Nora Suggate. Much loved sister of Denis. Thanks to the staff at Yvette Williams for the care of Hazel, for the short time she was there.
Now resting peacefully.

WALSH, Steven John:
At Hospice Southland on Wednesday, 26th October 2022, aged 60 years. Dearly loved husband of Pamela and beloved Dad of Blair, David, Danielle, and Christine and a wonderful Grandfather to all his Grandchildren. Loved son of Brian* and Judith Walsh, and brother of Terry, Robynn, Warren, and Kerynn.
