After a courageous battle at his home, Lumsden, aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Ellen, loved father and father-in-law of Terry and Sandra (Balclutha), Maurice and Amelia (Lumsden), Rowena and Wayne (Lumsden), cherished Grandad of Laura; Kane, Eilish, Andrew; Holly, Cara, and Travis, and great-Grandad of all his great-grandchildren. Loved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Lionel’s life will be held in Southern Funeral Home Chapel, 106 Hokonui Drive, Gore, on Monday, June 28 at 1.30pm, followed by interment at Charlton Park Cemetery. THOMAS, Liz (Betty):
It is with deep sadness that we announce that Liz passed away peacefully, with family at her side on Thursday 17th June 2021, aged 82 years. Loved wife of the late Peter, loved mother and mother in law of Nicola and Steve, and Gary and Vanessa , much loved Gran to Lewis, Sean and Zoe and companion to Eva, her much loved Sheltie. She will be missed by her siblings in the UK, Ron and Mavis, Sadie and the late Eric, Val and John and Gareth and Dianne and all her nieces and nephews who she visited whenever she was able to. Sincere thanks to the staff at Summerset on Cavendish whose support and love truly made a difference to mums last months.
