Peacefully at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, 23rd December 2020, aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of Joan, loved father and father-in-law of Suzy and Murray, Kathy and Harry, Nicola and Jeff*, Linda and Tony, Terry and Michelle, and Allana and Paul. Adored Grandpop of Hayden, Matt, Jonny, Emily, Chris, Cam, Alexandria, Sam and families.

A Requiem Mass will be held in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Rimu St, Invercargill on Tuesday, 29 December at 1:30 pm. The service will conclude with a private cremation. IRVINE, Margaret Elaine (nee Young):
Peacefully on December 19, 2020, at South Care Rest Home (Woodhaugh); in her 92nd year. Loved wife of the late John (Jack) Irvine, loved mother and mother in-law of Peter and Christine Irvine (Waikouiati), Russell and Diane Irvine (Invercargill), grandson Jack, and Maureen and Lloyd Riesterer and family. Thanks to the staff at South Care for taking care of Margaret over the years and specially these last few months. A private Cremation has been held and a gathering to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held at a later date. Messages to 111 Beach Street, Waikouaiti 9510.

THOMAS, Rita Gladys (nee Freeman):
Peacefully at Lister Home, Waimate on Monday, December 21, 2020. Aged 89 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Reginald (Reg). Adored mother of Lynley, Janice, and Murray. Loved grandmother of Seeta, Leny, Pieter, Darren and Daria, Nathan, Jamie and Paul, and great-grandchildren Myah, Lillah, Evie, Mila, Eden and Carter of Australia, Karlee, Jacob and Chase. The service celebrating Rita’s life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel Waimate, 11 John Street, Waimate, on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 11.00am, followed by a burial at Waimate Public Cemetery.
