Ulva passed peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday 19th July 2022 at home in her 97th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Ray. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Barrie and the late Lorraine, Kaye and Alan Papps, Gayna and Allan McLean, Brenda and Donald Walker, Norma and Bruce Kennard. Loved Nan to all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Beloved aunty to all her nieces and nephews. In accordance with Ulva’s wishes a private service has been held.

KOPAE, Sandra May (Sam):
Died 17th August 2021, Memorial 29th July 2022 (Livestream). A memorial service for our beloved Sam will take place at Ascot Park Hotel on the 29th of July at 2.30 pm.
Cherished wife, soulmate, and cycling buddy of Wally. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Kali and Jamie, Daley and Sue-Anne.Amazing Nanny of Willow. Loved eldest daughter of Bev*and Gerald*Coghlan(Mossburn). Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Ailsa and Graham, Dina and AJ, Kelvin and Wendy. Loved Aunty of her many nieces and nephews. Peacefully in the care of the staff at Bainfield Park. Loved son of the late William and Madeline Little. Loved nephew of the late Jack Hogan. TILY, Alexander Desmond (Des):
Sadly, Des passed peacefully with family in his heart on Tuesday 19th July 2022 at Peacehaven Hospital, aged 91 years. Wayne and Sue, Ross and Sally, Bruce and the late Emma will miss their determined Dad, and Pa will be missed terribly, especially by his two grandees Mandy, and Brad. William and Maddy, Owain and Addy who are in Australia have made Pa a delighted great granddad to George, and Levi, but his great granddaughter, wee Holly has been the light of his life, here in Invercargill. Des will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and his sister Lois.
Defying the odds Des often said, ‘when your numbers up, it’s up!’
A service to celebrate Des’s life will be held at the Southland Crematorium, Rockdale Road, Invercargill on Friday the 29th July at 1.00pm. Suits are optional but ties are a must, and ladies, get your ‘glad rags’ on! (Formerly of Lora Gorge). Very much loved and respected husband of the late Wynnis. It’s with much sadness and love that David, Dee, Kirsty, Aaron and Oliver had to say good bye to Dad on Monday, July 18, 2022. He passed away peacefully at home with us by his side. He was a respected brother, uncle, and friend of many. At Dad’s request we have held a private ceremony.

WATSON, Gillian Frances (nee Hanan):
On July 17, 2022, died peacefully after a long illness, with family by her side; aged 78 years. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Michael and Elsa, Andrea and Mark, Alistair and Rosalie, loved Grandmother of Kyrus, Lydia, and Jamie; Catherine, and Thomas; Gabriel, Jacob, and Clara, loved sister and sister-in-law of Sally*, Patricia, Jim and Helen*, Willis, and Paul. Loved former wife of John, and friend of Helen. Family thank Dr Blair McLaren, Dr Helen Holden, and the staff of Otago Community Hospice for their wonderful care. A service for Gillian will be held in St Paul’s Cathedral, The Octagon, Dunedin, at 11.00am on Monday, July 25, the funeral then leaving for Dunedin Cemetery.
