DAVIES, Peter Murray.
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, aged 79 years, with his family surrounding him. Much loved husband and best friend of Alison, loved father and father-in-law of Rachel, Callum and Tiffany, Iain and Bianca, Ben and Taryn, and Freya. Wonderful Grandad to Zak, Teneka, Max, Anwen, Ecclesia, Floriss, and our new grandchild due later this year. Tributes can be posted c/- 157 Main Road, Tawa. We sincerely thank the staff at both Auckland and Wellington Hospitals for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Wellington Free Ambulance. Donations may be left at the service. A celebration of Peter’s life will be held at the Tawa Salvation Army, Main Road, Tawa, on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 1.00pm.
KERR, Betty Irene. Betty passed away peacefully with family after a well-lived 96 years, on Thursday 20 June 2019. Loved wife of the late Reg and wonderful Mum and Mother-in-law to Murray and Marian, David and Helen, Gael and Graeme, Eileen and Jeff, Glenda and Dave, and Rhondda and Ronny. Special Nana of her 10 grandchildren and Great-Nana to her 12 great grandchildren. Loved by extended family and friends. Special thanks for the wonderful care provided to Betty by Healthcare Staff, Dr Williams, Hospice Southland Staff/Volunteers and Staff of Clare House. A memorial service for Betty will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Wednesday 26 June at 2.00pm. LAKE, Thomas Block.
Tom passed away on June 20, 2019, at Vickery Court Rest Home, aged 88 years. Husband of the late Moria Lake, father of Penelope, Donna and Tracey, loving Grandfather, father-in-law and good mate to many. Heartfelt thanks to the team at Vickery Court for their professionalism, support and care. A memorial service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held in Invercargill, to be advised at a later date.
Sadly missed by family and friends. Rest in Peace.
LIGHTFOOT, John Stanley.
Passed away peacefully on June 19, 2019, at his home in Punakaiki after a long journey with cancer. Dearly loved partner of Christine (Chris) King, stepfather of Andrew King and his fiancé Stephanie, and Poppa of Lily. Special thanks to the Oncology staff at Greymouth and Christchurch Hospitals. Also the Palliative Care team and District Nurses in Greymouth – your care and support was invaluable in keeping John at home as he wished.
