Peacefully at Longwood Care Home on Wednesday, 19 January, 2022. Aged 90 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Herbert. Loved and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Nicol and Annie, the late Brian and Shellie, Allen and Bernadette, Peter and Joy, Karen and Robbie, Eric and Terri. Adored Grandma and Great-Grandma of Alice and Lance, Fletcher and Sadie; George and Sheree, Harrison, Georgia and Arthur; Charles; Olivia; Logan and Nicole; David and Maritza and Lucas; Anna and Robert; John; Jenny and Cameron and Mila. MEIKLE, Danielle Elisabeth (nee Beer):
On Thursday, September 9, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family, Danielle went to sleep after a courageous battle. Beloved and precious wife and mother of Grant, Jake and Scarlett. Beloved and precious daughter of John and Pamela Beer (Myross Bush), beloved and precious sister of Andrew and Jackie Beer (Melbourne), and Rachel Beer (Queenstown). Much loved Auntie Danielle of Ariana and Ella Beer (Melbourne), and much loved niece, cousin and friend to many, aged 47 years.
She will always be remembered with so much love.

It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Basil on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. A much loved husband and friend of Jennifer for 64 years, deeply loved and respected father of Karen Rowe, Joanne and Mark Long, Michael and Christine O’Byrne, Cushla Roberts* and Graeme Lilley*, and Kathy and Greg Hunter. Loved Grandad of Jolene and Chris Cullen, Brendan Keller, Gareth and Carly Long, Alana and Richard Slade, Olivia and Aaron Waite, Dena and Kieran Appleby, Ashlee Roberts and Dallas Emery, Gemma and Johnny Tawhara, Taylor and Markus Woutersen, Morgan Hunter, Connah Hunter and Lucy Hopping, and his 10 great-grandchildren. 11.11.1947 – 20.01.2021
Departed her earthly life to be
alive in the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ in heaven. Loving wife of George for 51 years, Mother and mother-in-law of Hamish and Karen, Mark and Jessica, Carolyn, Carmen, Ainslie and Andrew. Grand- mother to 13 grandchildren. A friend of many. She taught Bible in Schools for 50 years. Her floral arrangements in our home and church are a constant reminder of her and her talents. She will also be remembered for the historical books she compiled, ‘David Elders’ Descendants’ and ‘Mimihau District 1854 – 2014’
She is now in God’s garden and forever in our hearts.
