Of Feilding formerly of Kiwitea, and Waiata. Passed away peacefully at Palmerston North Hospital surrounded by his family on Monday, July 6, 2020. In his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of Grace for 59 years. Much loved dad of Michelle and David Fletcher (Wellington), Fiona and David Hughes (Southland), and Deborah Chapman (Perth, WA). Treasured Pop of Sam, Charlotte; Courtney, Brady, Jacob, Kendall; Cassidy, and Dylan. Loved son of the late Edith and Fred. CLEARWATER, Barry:
Died peacefully in his 81st year on Thursday, July 16, 2020 in Gore Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Resting now after a long illness. Will be missed by Betty, his wife of 57 years. Daughter and son-in-law Wendy and Roundy, son and daughter-in-law Grant and Julie. Brother and brother-in-law of Margaret and Alex McLennan, loved brother-in-law of Lindsay and Fran McCulloch, Ken and Stephanie McCulloch (Australia) and loved uncle of his nieces and nephews and his many friends. A celebration of Barry’s life will take place at the Mataura Community Centre, McQueen Avenue, Mataura on Tuesday, July 21 at 11.00am, followed by a private committal at Mataura Cemetery. Russell passed away at Lakes District Hospital in Queenstown on Sunday, July 12, 2020. He was a much loved husband and father of Ruth, Blair and Jason, and very proud Grandad Russell of Charleston, loved son and brother of Helen* and James*, and Keith McGrouther; and cherished by his recently connected sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth and Rick Smith. He was also a much loved son-in-law of Ian* and Margaret* McIntosh, and brother-in-law of Keith and Heather McIntosh; a loved Uncle; and a friend to his many overseas family. Marj and the family wish to express their thanks to relatives and friends for their expressions of sympathy on Evan’s death on June 9, 2020. There were so many kindnesses including visits, flowers, cards and messages, and practical assistance. Over the many weeks of his declining health Evan was cared for compassionately by District Nurses, Dr Pat Hastilow and the Catherine Street Medical Centre team, Wallace’s Pharmacy staff, the teams at Kew, Peacehaven and Ascot Care Home. Evan loved his bowling friends and his companions at Ascot village. He enjoyed his friends and neighbours. We have appreciated your respect and support towards Marj and our family.
