HAMILL, Francis Joseph. Frank passed away peacefully at Calvary Hospital on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, with his daughters and the caring staff at his side. Aged 90 years. Loved and devoted husband and companion of May*. Loved and respected father, father-in-law and Grandad of Gloria and Bruce Miller, James and Jessica, Barbara and Peter Howley, Regan, Glen and Jenna, Kendall and Tyrone. Great- Grandad to Emma, Austin, Shaun, Emily and Hugo Howley. Special person to Kathleen. OGILVIE, Valerie Marion (Val) (nee Rumble) On August 14, 2018, suddenly and peacefully at Dunedin Hospital; aged 77 years. Beloved partner of Gerry Broderick, dearly loved Mum of Angela Melrose, Trixie Craig, Andrew, Craig, and Scotty Ogilvie and their partners. Loved stepmum of Geraldine, and Leah, loved Nana Val of Phillip, Holly, Trina, Bethany, David, Olivia, Jack, Oliver, William, Kyra, Jayden, and Josh, and their partners. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Findlay and Rosalie, Allan and Margaret, Neill and Dot, Myra Donaldson, the late Pam. A loved wife of the late Des Ogilvie. A service for Val will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin, at 12.30pm, on Friday, August 17, the funeral then leaving for the Green Park Cemetery. McDONALD, Eileen Margaret. Formerly of Merrivale and Winton. Passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018, aged 95. Dearly loved wife of the late Roderick John (Roddy). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Heather and Geoff Adams, Doug and Heather McDonald (Picton), Neil and Heather McDonald, Dorothy and Richard Steentjes (Portobello). Loved grand and great-grandmother of her 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Loved sister of the late Ethel Beal, and the late Winnie Newton. A celebration of Eileen’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons’ Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, on Monday, August 20, at 2.30pm, followed by private cremation.
