EVANS, Mabel Elizabeth (Betty). It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Betty on Friday, February 15, 2019. Deeply loved and devoted wife of the late Lex, loved and cherished Mum of Marty and Rae (Pukerau), Gavin and Shona (Australia), Steve and Margaret (Gore), Lorraine and David Hewlett (Gore) and Leonie and John Mantell (Mataura). THOMPSON, Matiu Hoani. It is with much sadness we announce Matt passed away peacefully surrounded by his whanu on Friday, February 15, 2019, at 12.30pm. Much loved son of the late Valmai and Saturday, loving husband and soulmate of the late Wendy, father of Zayne, John and Ari. Grandfather to Deakin. Beloved brother of Bubba, Huckle, Tommy, Reece, Nathan and the late Missy, the late Terina, and the late Moana. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Much loved by his fur babies Harry and Sally. We would like to pay special thanks to his carers Rachael, Tony, and whanau, and the hospice nurses. A service for Matt will be held at the Arrowhenua Marae Temuka, on Monday, February 18, 2019, at 11.00am, followed by the burial at the Urupa. Messages to 12 Princes Street, Temuka.
WYATT, Dorothy June (June). Peacefully, on February 13, 2019, at Holmdene, Balclutha; in her 92nd year. Dearly loved wife of the late Bob, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Jay and Pat, Phil and the late Robyn, and Alaister, treasured Grandma of Kristofer and Michelle, Logan and Emily, Jason and Amanda, Ashton and Triona, and great-Grandma of Taylor, Fynn, Jake, Mila, and Reuben. JOHNSON, Ron. Cathy and Jenny, Murray and Linda, and families, would like to thank you all for the lovely messages via facebook, cards and flowers to acknowledge Dad’s passing one month ago today. Thank you to those who made time to attend Dad’s farewell, and to all who shared stories and memories with us. Thank you also to the staff at Takitimu and Peacehaven for their wonderful care. A special thank you to Jill who revived Dad’s vision in the garden, to the team at Parks and Reserves who have lovingly taken over some of Dad’s treasures and plan to continue his legacy. Thank you to the Woodworkers Guild who have been a huge help with clearing a lifetime of collections. Everyone’s love and support has been most appreciated.
McGREGOR, Duncan John. Noeline, Christine, Duncan Jr, Locky, Fleur, partners and families express their gratitude and thanks to everyone for their love, support and sympathy following the loss of Duncan. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, relations, neighbours and well wishes who delivered food, visited us at home and attended the funeral service. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent beautiful floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, we are truly grateful. McMILLAN, Janice (Jan). Noel and family wish to sincerely thank all their relatives, friends and neighbours who attended Jan’s farewell service. For the many cards, flowers, baking and donations to the Garston Playgroup received in her memory, thank you everyone for your thoughts and kindness. MIDDLEMISS, Kathleen Mary (Molly). 21.7.1925 – 27.1.2019 Wayne and Marion, Daryl and Gerardine and families wish to sincerely thank family and friends for their love and support after the loss of our Mum and Nana Molly. We very much appreciated the cards, messages, baking, flowers, visitors and the attendance at the service. Thanks also, to Fr Vaughn Leslie for the lovely Mass, Margaret Card and her team for the afternoon tea, the Roxburgh Medical Centre and especially the Teviot Valley Rest Home for their respectful and loving care, both to Molly and the family.
