The Legend passed suddenly on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Omihi, Kaikoura. Cherished husband of Cherie, beloved father of Rhonda, Mike and Beven, awesome granddad of Mike, Trudy and Jacob, dearly missed brother of Murray and the late Max and loved brother-in-law and uncle to the Amos and Davis families. Regarded as a real “Good Bloke” by his friends and loved ones. A service to celebrate Harold’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at 2.00pm. Private cremation thereafter. In the early hours of Friday morning at Hospice Southland, Maryellen peacefully passed in her sleep, surrounded by the love of her beautiful daughters Imogen (Immie) and Mikaelah (Kae) along with her adored husband and soulmate Erroll. Loved daughter, sister, sister-in-law, wife, aunty, mother and friend to many. Maryellen will be at home from 11.00am on Monday, April 15, 2019. After a year of reflection and memories, Maggi, Tamati and Sarah, Zacson, Tahlia and Kayden along with Teresa would like to thank everyone for their love, support and sympathy given to us during Thomas’s illness and when he passed away.
Thank you for the flowers, food, cards and many messages, and a huge thank you to all those who travelled from Australia and various parts of New Zealand to be with us to share in the celebration of Thomas’s life.
Our special thanks to Dr Jordan Baker, in whom Thomas had complete trust, Southland Hospital along with the District Nurses for their care and support of Thomas, and Hospice Southland for making his last days so comfortable, also to Stephanie, we loved those early morning muffins and Andrea Jerry for her lovely service. Thomas would have loved your singing. Those who gave eulogies, thanks, I am sure many of us would have had a good laugh when we heard of a new way to remove a motor from a car.
To Annette, Toni, Teresa and my sisters you gave me unconditional support and love for which I will be forever grateful.
Thomas was a much-loved husband, father, father in law, Koko, brother, brother in law and uncle who was a huge part of our lives and is missed so very much.
Please accept this as our personal acknowledgement of our deepest gratitude.
Thomas’s headstone unveiling will be held at the Riverton Cemetery on Saturday 20 April 2019 at 2:30pm.

Thank you to our friend Dawn Brieseman who officiated Graham’s celebration of life and to those who spoke, you made it such a personal tribute. To the many people who attended, some who travelled long distances we are truly grateful. To Chaim Cleavin of Hope and Sons, we fondly appreciated your caring, compassionate and professional manner. You made a difficult time more manageable. Special thanks to all the staff of the Dunedin Hospital ICU, you treated Graham with such dignity and respect, we will be forever grateful to you.
