Loved and respected Priest of the Diocese of Christchurch. Passed away peacefully at Nazareth House, on Monday, September 7, 2020, aged 89 years.

Requiem Mass has been celebrated under Covid-19 level 2 requirements, and Father Kevin was interred in the Priests Section of Memorial Park Cemetery. A Memorial Mass, to which all are welcome, will be celebrated when gathering restrictions are lifted. Details to follow.

EDMONDS, James Peter (Jim):
Peacefully on September 10, 2020 at Clutha Views Lifecare, with his loving family by his side, aged 86 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Patricia, much loved father and father-in-law of Michelle Maurice (Mosgiel), Phil and Judi (Omarama), Debbie and Paul Gouman (Greenfield), Greg and Sally (Dunedin), and a treasured Grandad of Tony, Kelly and Joe; Lucinda and Terry, Kirsty and Rodger; Leah, Tegan, Scott; Keaton, and Brenna, and Great-Grandad of Madison, Mason, Macsen, and Ruby. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Maree and the late Bob Way, Broday and the late Lois Edmonds, and a much loved uncle of all Patricia and Jim’s nieces and nephews.

Sinclair: Rev. Lorraine Beverly (Pastor Raine):
17/12/1948 – 11/9/2020, Lorraine passed peacefully in the early hours of Friday morning, in the care of the lovely staff at Southland Hospice. Lorraine has now gone home to be with the Lord she loves and her darling *Ernie. Lorraine is the eldest daughter of the late Bill and Jean Hooper, and much loved sister and sister in law of Gail and Tai Ellia. A very special Auntie of Glen, Teina, Gina and their families. Lorraine was respected and loved by her Liberty church family and will be sadly missed. A service to celebrate Lorraine’s life, will be held at the Liberty Christian Fellowship Church, corner of Tweed and Ethel streets, on Wednesday 16th September at 1.30. Private cremation to follow. Due to the COVID 19 situation the service is by invitation only. A memorial service dedicated to Lorraine will be held at Liberty at a future time, so all the church family can attend. Aged 90 years. Anne, Cath, Sue, Diane, Chris, Jane, Megan and families wish to thank our extended family and friends for attending Ray’s service. We greatly appreciated the flowers, cards, kind words, your company and food given to us. Special thanks to the team at Distinct Funeral Services, Fr Tony, Karen Ralston and the Waikiwi RFC for their wonderful contributions at the service. Thank you to the medical ward, the palliative care team and hospice for their kindness during Ray’s last days. We sincerely wish to thank so many for their love and support with the loss of a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and friend to many. Special thanks to Doctors and staff at Hospice Southland for the loving, compassionate care of Cheryl for the short time she was there, we would also like to thank the District Nurse and all those who helped Cheryl during her stay at home, especially Ruth, Jill, and all other neighbours.
