Formerly of Kelso and Gore. It is with great sadness that Margaret left us on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Unexpectedly, but peacefully with family by her side, at Christchurch Hospital. Aged 84 years. Much loved wife of the late Grahame, treasured Mother and mother-in-law of Craig and Cecilia (Gore), Victoria and Ferg (Lincoln), Tom and Sally (Kelso). Adored Nana of Marcus, Lily and Chelsey; Laura and Mitchell, Kieran and Hayden; Louie and Sam.

BOYD, Heather Ann:
After a long illness, Heather passed away on March 7, 2022 at Ngaio Marsh Rest Home, Christchurch. Aged 86 years. Dearly loved youngest daughter of Duncan and Mary Boyd (dec), loved and loving sister of Mavis Parata (Mackay), and of her late brothers, Jock, Duncan, Hector, Gordon, Dougal and David. Loved sister-in-law of Mary and Ann, and the late Jean, Tahu, Ruth, Phyll and Edie. Loved and respected aunt of her many nieces and nephews and their children. In accordance with Heather’s wishes, a private cremation has been held.

DAVIS, John Charles:
1935 – 2022. Unexpectedly at Southland Hospital on Wednesday, 9th March 2022. Treasured husband of Marlene for 60 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Steven and Sharron, Cindy and Kevin Mulrooney, Judy and John Pender, Belinda Davis, and Simon and Lesley. McMEEKEN, Elvia Margaret:
Peacefully at Lake Wakatipu Care Home, on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, aged 97 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Peter, loved and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Barry and Jane, Greg and Karen, Rod and Shelley, loved Granny of Cara and Lucinda, and Grandma of Alice and Ciaran. OVENS, Joan Elizabeth (nee Hinton):
(formerly of Oamaru). Peacefully surrounded by love on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Cashmere View Rest Home, Christchurch, in her 94th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Graeme for 60 years. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Judith and Robin Patterson, David and Sue, Ross and Jenny, Keith, Susan and Robyn. Much loved and treasured Nana to her 11 grandchildren and very proud and cherished Great-Nan to her 15 great-grandchildren. Passed away peacefully after a short illness on Thursday 10 March 2022. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Ron. Loving Mum and mother-in-law of Mark and Paula (Perth), Tony and Helen (Perth), *Jane, Dean and Stacey (Invercargill), and Angela and Andy (Queenstown). Adored Grandma and Great Grandmother to Kelly and Rachael, Bliss and Flo, Natasha and Ash, Anastasia and Sam, Lachlan, Arielle, and Raquel. A wonderful sister and sister-in-law to *Bill and Eva Boyer, *Harold and Dawn, *Kathleen and *Brian Ramage. Much loved Aunty June to all of her nieces and nephews. June’s family would like to acknowledge and thank the amazing medical team at Southland Hospital who took exceptional care of June in her final days. A service to celebrate June’s life will be held in the Invercargill Christian Centre, 165 Leet Street, Invercargill on Tuesday 15 March at 2.00 pm, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Order of St John would be appreciated. Due to Covid restrictions, a vaccine passport must be shown on entry and the wearing of masks is required.
