Our tree has fallen, our rock has moved and the final bell has been rung in the bout. Dave passed away at Hospice Southland, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday 8 September 2022 aged 52 years. Dearly loved husband of Lisa for 28 years. Adored father of Olivia* (Libby), and Eli. Much loved son of Tony and Fay*, Pat*, and Sue Bartley. Dearly loved son in law and friend of Lyn and John Rhodes. Much loved brother and brother in law of Jacquline and Kevin Godfrey, Brent and Stacey Stirling, Steve Rhodes, and Darren Rhodes. Much loved Uncle of Josh, Jeremy and Serenity, Georgia and Brad; Dominic and Damien; and Reuben; Brodie*, Brennan and Koby; and great uncle of Jax and Kolby. Adored nephew of Anne and Doug Chapman, Averill and Chris Waldron, Shirley and Brian* O’Malley and Karen and Warren* Procter. Much loved godfather and mate of Brock and Cooper Miller.

CRAWFORD, Alan George:
Passed away August 17, 2022, surrounded by family at his Nelson home after a long battle with cancer. Born August 1, 1930, son of Percy and Agnes (Reid) Crawford. Alan’s working life was on his Conical Hill farm until he retired to Nelson where he enjoyed a lifestyle of motorcycling, dancing, bowls, boating and bicycling, and he remained active up until his passing. Alan is survived by his sister Edna Chittock and dearest friend Jean Mark. He was a beloved father and father-in-law of Greg and Kerry, Derek and Gill, and Dianne, and much loved grandfather and great- grandfather. A private send-off will be held for family at a future date.
Our hearts are heavy as he meant so much to so many, he will be deeply missed.
