BARTLEY, David Anthony (Dave):
Our tree has fallen, our rock has moved and the final bell has been rung in the bout. Dave passed away at Hospice Southland, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday 8 September 2022 aged 52 years. Dearly loved husband of Lisa for 28 years. Adored father of Olivia* (Libby), and Eli. Much loved son of Tony and Fay*, Pat*, and Sue Bartley. Dearly loved son in law and friend of Lyn and John Rhodes. Much loved brother and brother in law of Jacquline and Kevin Godfrey, Brent and Stacey Stirling, Steve Rhodes, and Darren Rhodes. Much loved Uncle of Josh, Jeremy and Serenity, Georgia and Brad; Dominic and Damien; and Reuben; Brodie*, Brennan and Koby; and great uncle of Jax and Kolby. Adored nephew of Anne and Doug Chapman, Averill and Chris Waldron, Shirley and Brian* O’Malley and Karen and Warren* Procter. Much loved godfather and mate of Brock and Cooper Miller.

A heartfelt thank you to Chris Jackson – Dunedin Oncologist for your support and care of Dave. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Southland would be greatly appreciated and can be left at the service. A farewell and Celebration of Dave’s life will be held on Tuesday 13th September, 1pm, ILT Stadium Southland, Invercargill. Private cremation will follow. CRAWFORD, Alan George:
Passed away August 17, 2022, surrounded by family at his Nelson home after a long battle with cancer. Born August 1, 1930, son of Percy and Agnes (Reid) Crawford. Alan’s working life was on his Conical Hill farm until he retired to Nelson where he enjoyed a lifestyle of motorcycling, dancing, bowls, boating and bicycling, and he remained active up until his passing. Alan is survived by his sister Edna Chittock and dearest friend Jean Mark. He was a beloved father and father-in-law of Greg and Kerry, Derek and Gill, and Dianne, and much loved grandfather and great- grandfather. A private send-off will be held for family at a future date.
Our hearts are heavy as he meant so much to so many, he will be deeply missed.

HAMILTON, Hugh Munro:
Loved husband of Noeline. Special father and father-in-law of Jane and Davey, Sarah and Rich. Very proud grandad of Jack, Alec, Will, and Stella. Brother of Johnny* and Jennifer*, Colin and Jackie, Neil* and Elvena, Nancy, Roy and Georgina. Uncle Hughie to all his nieces and nephews.

At Hospice Southland on Saturday September 3, 2022. Aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband of Jo and the late Marlene. Loved father and father-in-law of Susan and Philip O’Rourke, Simon, David, and Melanie and Barry Fishburn. Loved Granddad of Bradley, Nathan, Gemma; Fabian, Mckayla; Jessica and Hayden. Loved brother of Daphne, Esther, Des, the late Garry, and Ernie, and their extended families. A service to celebrate Allan’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr. Peacefully in Perth, Australia after a long goodbye. Dearly beloved husband of Effie, and loved father and friend of Anita and Dallas, and Ranui. Koro to Perinara, Hemi-Anaru and Dee, McRae (Macca), and great Koro to Chasye. Loved by his whanau and friends throughout his life. A service to celebrate Peri’s life will be held in the Waiau Town and Country Club, Tuatapere, on Monday, 12 September at 2.00pm. The service will conclude with his interment at the Tuatapere Cemetery. He was a devoted husband to Myra for 64 years and a father who deeply loved his children Glenn and Liz McDonald, Toni McDonald, and Paula and Doug Nicolson. A much loved son, brother and uncle. Much loved Dr Pop of Ashley, Sam, Olive, Thea, Arthur, Luis, Ri, Ethan, Felix, Alice, Eddie, Liam, Evelyn, and Abigail. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Doug (Peter) Scown and his wife Mary, and Annette Bird and her late husband Robbie. Much loved by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and their children. YATES, Dorothy Norma:
After the longest goodbye, out dear mum passed away on Wednesday 7th September 2022 at Longwood Care Home, Riverton, aged 94 to be with her beloved Bob. Dearly loved wife and soul mate of the late Robert (Bob) Yates. Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Robert and the late Eileen, Bruce and Anna, Jenny and Barry, Susy, Jackie and Boof, Lesley and the late Davey. Loved and respected nana and great nana.
