It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nareen on Thursday 30th December 2021, at Rowena Jackson, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved and loving Wife of Jim, amazing Mother and Mother-in-law of Anthony and Kazuyo, Michael and Anita, Kathryn and Hamish. Loving Nanny and Great Nanny of Tye and Janine, Julie, Sophie, Angus, Elliot, Seth and Dante. Loved Sister, Sister-in-law and best friend of Carmel and Bill*, Mary and Allister, Elisabeth and Allan, Paul* and Marlene. Much loved by all her nieces and nephews. RIP. DUNCAN, Trevor John (Trev):
Of Wanaka. With his loving wife Viv by his side, passed on Monday, December 27, 2021 in Dunedin Hospital after a very short battle with an aggressive cancer. Loving father to Stephen and Sandra (Australia); Sharyn and Roger (Invercargill), and Brent and Leigh (Australia). Grandad of eight, and great-grandfather to Amelia. FISHER, Mavis Christina:
Peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Atawhai Rest Home, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Harry. Sister of Ray, Bill, Elva, and Hazel. Cousin of Judith Olsen, and Roger McCallum. Fond Aunt of her many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Cheryl and Lorna from Mary Doyle, and Lauren at Atawhai for their care and support. A service for Mavis will be held at St Columba’s Presbyterian Church, Columba Way, Havelock North, on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 11.00am. This is a vaxed funeral. LOW, Ross Alexander:
Born November 25, 1945, Bayswater farmer of Merino Downs, tinkerer of Gore and retiree of Invercargill. Passed peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021, under the superb care of the Southland Hospital Medical Ward team. Loved husband and best friend to Ruth. Adored dad to Geoff and Vikki (UK), Deb, and Warrick and Bron. Cherished Poppa to Kirsten, Ella, Emily and Grayson. Son to the late Alex and the late Katie, brother and brother-in-law to the late Helen, JD and Barb, Barb and Gordon, Ev and Ted, Mavis and Ross, Pauline and Geoff, Christine and Randall.

As per Ross’s wishes, a private cremation has been held but please join us for a Memorial service to be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 2.00pm in the Lindisfarne Community Church, crn Lindisfarne and Miller Streets. It is with much sadness that we share the loss of our beloved Scottish soldier, our Dad, on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Much loved husband of the late Mary, adored Dad and father-in-law of Lynette (Oamaru), Alistair (Masterton), the late Grant (Heaven), Christine and Scott McKenzie (Fortrose), very special and strong Grandad to Sam, Adam and Lucy McLennan; Oliver, Georgia and Elliot McKenzie; and Fraser McLennan-Scott.
