BICHAN, Alfred Leonard (Len). Peacefully on November 30, 2018, at Clutha Health First, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband, best friend and soulmate of the late Mavis, much loved dad and father-in-law of Alan and Anne, Murray and Kay, David and Bronwyn, Colleen and Ray, and the late Lorraine, cherished Grandad and great-Grandad of all his grandchildren. A service for Len will be held on Wednesday, December 5, at 1.30pm, in the South Otago Town and Country Club, Yarmouth Street, Balclutha, followed by a private cremation. Dearly loved wife of the late Peter, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Lyn and Colin Scrivener, Stephen and Ali Bradley, Penny and Aaron Gough, much loved nan of Vanessa, Stacey, Marianne, Callum, Stacey, Joshua, Addison and Mia, a loved great-nan of her great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Erin’s life will be held at the Weston Hall, Main Street, Weston on Saturday, December 8, commencing at 11.00am, followed by interment at the Oamaru Lawn Cemetery. FORREST, Coral Hyacinth (nee Stuart). Peacefully at Southland Hospital on Saturday, December 1, 2018, in her 90th year, surrounded by her loving family. Formerly of Brydone and Waianiwa. Devoted and dearly loved wife of Ken* Forrest. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Winston Forrest and Michele Poole (Arrowtown), Cynthia Forrest (Wellington), Helen* and David Rose (Northope), Grant Forrest (Waianiwa), and Fiona Forrest (Lochiel). Treasured Nana Coral of Hamish, Mark, Christine, Andrew and Jennifer. Precious Great-Nana Coral to Leon. Adored aunty of all her nieces and nephews. Eldest daughter of Jim and Jessie Stuart (Brydone). Cherished sister and sister-in-law of George* and Alison Stuart, Heather* and Graeme McKenzie, Ken and Mavis Stuart, Veron and Lex* Bagrie. O’CONNELL, Gerard Michael. A cherished and much loved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, nephew and cousin who passed away peacefully at Calvary Rest Home on Saturday, 1st December 2018. Eldest son of Barbara and the late Brian, brother and brother-in-law of Barbara Finlayson, Terry & Julie, and Tracey & David Carrick. A treasured uncle of Cameron, Duncan, Fraser, and Macgregor Finlayson; Lauren & Cory, Jacob & Ellen, Tayla, Rosie, and Patrick Carrick. Great uncle to Liam, and Dylan and a friend of Peter.

A Requiem Mass to celebrate Gerard’s life will be held in the St. Thérèse of Lisieux Catholic Church, Perth Street, Invercargill on Thursday, 6th December at 11:00am. The service will conclude with the burial at the Eastern Cemetery. The Rosary will be held in the Fr. O’Brien Chapel at the church on Wednesday, 5th December at 7:00pm. O’CONNELL, Gerard Michael. Passed in peace and now in God’s hands on the 1st December 2018. Dearly loved, adored and cherished nephew of the late Mick and Jo Rabbitt. Extraordinary and remarkable ‘special’ friend and cousin of John and Sarah Rabbitt, Paul and Karen Rabbitt, Joanne and Stephen Boyle, Mary-Ellen and Dean McDonald and Families. It was our privilege to have Gerard in our lives and he has enriched all those he knew. A treasured, colourful and unique character.

SOMERVILLE, William Lloyd (Lloyd). Passed away at Ribbonwood Country Home, Tapanui, on Friday, November 30, 2018, aged 89 years. A lifelong member of the Kelso and wider West Otago community. Much loved husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. A service for Lloyd will be held in the Tapanui Community Centre, 3 Suffolk Street, Tapanui, on Wednesday, December 5, at 2.00pm, private cremation to follow.
