On June 26, 2020, at Clutha Views Hospital, Balclutha; in his 90th year. Loved husband of Maire, much loved father and father-in-law of Rosemary, Margret and Les, Michelle, Elizabeth and Phill, loved Grandfather of Luke, and Andrew; Jacob; Hillary, and Fiona, loved son of the late Andrew and Hazel Carruthers, and brother and brother-in-law of Rob and Barbara. A private family interment for Meyrick will be held on Friday, July 3. Meyrick’s family and friends are invited to join the family afterwards from 3.00pm at the Clinton Community Centre to enjoy Smoko and share memories. CORNISH, Martin James (Marty):
After a courageous battle, passed peacefully at Dunstan Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, June 26, 2020. Aged 69 years. Dearly loved companion and special friend of Helen McCarthy. Loving father and father-in-law of Brendon and Shelley, Aj and Lisa, Geoffrey and Megan, Danni, Hayden and Lydia, Loving Grandad Marty of Blake, Brody; Lochie, Bella: Seth and Daniel; Loved son of the late James and Blanche. Special thanks to the staff at Dunstan Hospital. A service to celebrate Marty’s life will be held in the Lake Hawea Community Centre, 28 Myra Street, Lake Hawea, on Thursday, July 2 at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. Passed suddenly at home, June 26, 2020, in her 81st year. Wife of the late Neil, the love of her life. Cherished mother of the late Trevor, Karen and Steve, Murray and Daniela. Beloved Nana of Lisa, Justin, Karley, Stephen, Kadin and Laura, Tayla and Anton, Nathan, Abriele, Emma and Leah. Joyous Great-Nana to Lane, Trey, Chayse, Cobain, Stephen and baby Hugo. Surrounded by his loving family John passed away peacefully at home on Friday 26th June 2020. Best friend of Sandra. Devoted and proud father and father in law of Sarah and Aarron, Scott and Katrina, Hannah and Matty. Adored Grandpa of Beth, Tom, Archie, Tilly, Gemma, Bronte and Molly. Loved son of the late Tom and Jean McKenzie. Loved brother and brother in law of Pam, Helen, Shona and Johnny, Heather and Greg, Jan and Rusty, and Grant and Jude. Following a short illness, Katherine passed away at Southland Hospital Kew, a resilient fighter. Much loved daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend to her family and everyone who met her.
