On Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Peacefully at Southland Hospital, aged 87 years. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Lynley and Barry* Slowley, Maree and Malcolm McGowan, Alan and Jill Adcock, and Andrew Campbell (Newcastle) and cherished Nana of Janine Slowley, Katrina Stark (Las Vegas), Emma Slowley, (Brooklyn), Nicholas Catto (Canberra), Georgie Catto (Oamaru), Jonny Catto, Flynn Adcock (Christchurch), and Sherie Adcock. A much loved sister and sister-in-law of Tom* and Rose Bone, Peggy* Bone, Joy* and Bill Adcock, Charlie* Bone, Beverley and Gabor Varga, Pamela Henderson (Christchurch), and Graeme and Diane Bone (Whangarei). A service for Betty, followed by afternoon tea, will be held in the Avenal Park Lounge, Fox Street, Invercargill on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 2.00pm. Private cremation to follow. MADISON, Louise Moffett-Ayto:
23-2-1996 – 23-1-2021
Maddie decided her battle was finished on Saturday morning. Survived by her father Adrian Ayto, mother Nicole Moffett. Loved Sister of Matthew Moffett and Susan Munro. Granddaughter of Alan and Shirley Ayto ( deceased) and Ray Moffett ( deceased) and Yvonne Billington. Adored niece, cousin, and Aunty. Madison’s celebration of life is on Tuesday 26 January at 1 pm at Lindisfarne Methodist Community Centre, Lindisfarne Street, Invercargill ( Madison would like people to wear bright colours) followed by interment at the Eastern Cemetery. A potluck afternoon tea will follow in the Hockey Hall, Camden Street, Invercargill. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland is appreciated. TONKIN, Alwyn Rae (nee Managh):
Peacefully after a short illness in the care of her daughters on Saturday, January 23, 2021, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Bill. Treasured mother of Murray and Helen, Lyn and Graham, Pam, David and Jackie, Liz* and Dave. Beloved Nana of her grand, great and great-great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Alwyn’s life will be held at Argyle Cottage Garden, 19 Argyle-Otahuti Road, on Wednesday, January 27, at 1.30pm.
