CHRISTIE, Zavier Nyra. 22 July 2006 – 22 December 2018
Aged 12 years. Serenely, at Hospice Southland, after a hard fought battle. Cherished daughter of Dion Christie and Valerie Marshall, adored sister of Taia and Krystal, Maxine, Jordan, Trent, Tyrone, and Ahorangi, much loved Aunty of her nieces and nephews, treasured granddaughter, niece and cousin. Zavier will be at Te Wharekura o Arowhenua, 734 Tweed Street, Invercargill, until her funeral service at 11.00am on Thursday, December 27, then leaving for the Eastern Cemetery. COLVIN, Philip Keith (Phil). Suddenly at Timaru Hospital with Loretta by his side on Saturday, December 22, 2018, aged 58 years. Dearly loved partner of Loretta for 13 years. Loved stepdad of Jonathon and Stacey, Matthew (deceased), Amy and Dan, Jason and Fern. Father to his four children. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Jimmy and Janet and all his siblings. Thanks to Fiona, Jo and Steve from Lister Home, and to Sarah, Carol and Chris from Healthcare NZ for their wonderful care of Phil. A service to celebrate Phil’s life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 11 John Street, Waimate, on Thursday, December 27, at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation. DONALDSON, Margaret Alice (Alice). Aged 76. Passed peacefully on Sunday 23 December 2018. Loved wife of Allan, and the late Ken Wisely. HAMMOND, Daphne. Peacefully with her loving family by her side at Hospice Southland on Friday, December 14, 2018, aged 90 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Jim Hammond. JOHNSTONE, Stuart. Passed away at Southland Hospital, on Saturday, 22 December, 2018, in his 83rd year. Dearly loved husband of the late Wilma, step-father and father-in-law of Donald (Wyndham), Grant (Edendale), Brent and Maria (Brisbane), and their families. Loved brother and brother-in-law of *Duncan and *Jean, *Charles and *Edna, *Tom and *Gladys Healy, *Archie and Vina, *William and Valma, *Ronald and Elaine, Jim and Mary. A service for Stuart will be held in the Wyndham Town and Country Club, Redon Street, on Thursday, 27 December, at 1.30pm, then leaving for the Wyndham Cemetery. LOVE, Bernard Bryce (Bernie). (of Alexandra), passed away peacefully on December 22, 2018, at Dunstan Hospital, aged 87. Now with his Lord. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Helen; much loved father and father-in-law of David and Caroline, Christine and Neil, Deirdre and Garry, and Hamish and Rachelle; best grandad ever of Elliot, Sam, Rebecca, Ben, Luke, Ruby and William; oldest brother of Warwick, the late Gerald and Robert, and cherished step-brother of Suzanne. A service to celebrate Bernie’s life will be held at St Enoch’s Church, Alexandra, at 1.30pm on Saturday, December 29, followed by a private cremation.
