On Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Windsor Park Care Home, Gore, aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Marilyn, loved father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather of Martin and Joanne Greenfield, Amanda and Sean Kurdziolek (Alaska), Hannah, Charlotte, and Tristan, Janine McIntyre (Gore), Emma, Caleb, and Hamish, Nichola and Brian Goodwin (Waimumu), Brody, Lewis, Caitlin, and Ethan, Kaely Greenfield (Invercargill), Andrew Greenfield (Invercargill), and Alexis; Shane and Ginny Greenfield, Kirsty Mitchell, Megan, Koby, and Nixon, Luke Reiner; Kim and Barry Shields, Aimee, Grace and Tudor Burchill, Bradley, and Abbie; Blake and Lynda (Marlborough) and the late Cushla, Daniel and Tracey, James and Hannah, and Zahlee, and Emma. A service for Neville will be held in Southern Funeral Home Chapel, 106 Hokonui Drive, Gore, on Wednesday, November 25, at 2.00pm, then leaving for Charlton Park Cemetery. HAND, Neville Bruce:
Peacefully at Albany Rest Home, Gore, on Saturday, November 21, 2020, aged 62 years. Loved father of Geogina, Rene and the late Fabian (Cook Islands). Youngest son of the late John and Alice Hand (Milton), loved brother of all his siblings, their partners and all his nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at a later date due to the Covid restrictions with family overseas. Special thanks to Neville’s dear sister Helen for all her love, care and concern prior to Neville going into Albany House. The funeral service for Kevin will be held at the Waiau Town and Country Club, 41 King St Tuatapere on Friday 27 November 2020 commencing at 2.00pm. His interment will follow at Tuatapere Cemetery.

SARGEANT, George Ronald (of Bluff):
Peacefully, at Calvary Hospital, on Saturday 21 November 2020; aged 93 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Ruth. Much loved father and father in law of Julie (deceased) and Neil Moore (Invercargill), Pamela and Elwyn Beresford (Toowoomba, Qld), and Brenda and Bruce Colvin (Invercargill). Loved grandad of his 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. A service for George will be held in the Bluff RSA, Gore Street, Bluff, on Wednesday 25 November at 2.00 pm, followed by interment at the Greenpoint Cemetery. SOPER, Elizabeth Ann (Betty) (nee Hodgkinson):
Peacefully, at Bainfield Park Residential Home, Invercargill, on Friday, November 20, 2020, aged 88 years. Wife of the late Lionel Soper, mother and mother-in-law of Bevan and Alexie (Yamba, NSW, Australia), Julie and *David Carr (Gore), and Betty had 8 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. At Betty’s request she has been privately cremated and her ashes will be interred at Garston at a later date.
