At home, with her loving family by her side on Friday 18 February 2022, aged 78 years. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Debbie and Lindsay, Donna, Tania and Selwyn, and Terry and Tess. Loved Nanny of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Loved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend of her extended family. A service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, 22 February 2022 at 10.00am. Numbers are limited to 100 and vaccine passes are required. Slipped away peacefully at Gore Hospital, on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, aged 88 years. Devoted husband and friend of Isobel for 65 years, loved Dad and father-in-law of Heather and Graeme Stuart, Blair and Sue. Special Grandad of Micheal and Melanie, Sean and Steven, Far away Grandad of Gilby, Logan, Cienna, Trinity and McKenzie Shepherd and Addison Dyer, and Grandad Merv to Hunter, Sophie and Carter. Special friend of Andrew Shepherd. In accordance with Merv’s wishes, a private family service will be held. Died peacefully at home, aged 71 years, surrounded by his family on February 18, 2022. Dearly loved husband of Anna, much loved father of James, Sam, Hannah and Joshua. Much loved brother to Gretchen, Philippa and the late Christopher, and brother- in-law to Paul, Lizzie, Jonathan, Dick and Gordon. Loved son-in-law of Judith. Father-in-law to Anna and Hannah, and new grandad to Harriet. A cherished friend to many across New Zealand and abroad. Passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital on Sunday 20 February 2022, aged 49 years.
Dearly loved son on Noeline and the late Jim.

With heavy hearts we would like to announce the passing of Gladys, unexpectedly but peacefully, at home, Clinton, on Sunday, February 20, 2022, aged 71 years. A much loved wife of George for 47 years, much loved mother of Alister (Fairlie), Robert (deceased), Janet and Nigel (Invercargill), loved grandmother of Kayleigh, Courtney, Zayden and Cade, and loved great-grandmother of Harlee and Rilynn. Dearly loved daughter of the late Alfred and Marion Ure, daughter-in-law of Robert and Christina Slocombe, sister and sister-in-law of Murray (deceased) and Alison Ure; Winfred and Wallace McGregor, and loved Auntie of her nieces and nephews.
