Aged 58 years. Courageously after a short illness, Karen passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Hospice Southland. Much loved wife and best friend of Paul. Dearly loved mum of Stephen and Sam, Angela and Andrew. Loved step-mum of Shawn and Melissa, Mark and Stephanie, and a much loved Nana. Loved sister of Nena, David, the late Sonia, and Gregory, a loved sister-in-law, and aunty of all her nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Karen’s life will be held in the Longford Function Centre, Hamilton Street, on Wednesday, December 23, at 2.00pm, then leaving for Charlton Park Cemetery. MATTHEWS, Mary:
Daughter of the late William and Frances Lobb of Edendale, was born on 16.5.1923 and passed away peacefully at Peacehaven Village on December 18, 2020. She is an older sister to Maisie (Alfred Aydon) and the late Clara Lobb, husband to the late Roger Matthews and sister-in law to Elizabeth (Betty) (and the late Vincent Steel) and the late Lena (and the late Harry Bedwell). She is survived by her daughter Lilian (Steve Birmingham) and granddaughters Tiana and Kiri Birmingham, along with her nieces and nephews and their families. Mary became a mum to boys she and Roger fostered, especially to Ken (Pauline) Summers and Ian (Marijke) Cuthbertson and a grandma to their families. Her funeral will take place at the Doon Street Seventh Day Adventist Church on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 1.00pm followed by burial in the Edendale cemetery. MOODY, Garry Allan:
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Garry in the loving arms of his partner Susie and daughter Hayley on Friday, December 18, 2020. Beloved son of the late Noel and Shirley Moody, and brother of Pamela (Melbourne). Devoted dad of the late Bevan, and Justin. Adoring Pops of Maddie, Zaiden, Charlotte, and Jeremiah. This will be preceeded at 7.30am, by a gathering at the Cenotaph, in recognition of Fred’s 40 years contribution to the ANZAC Dawn Service. Afterwards the family will breakfast at the RSA.
