CHAMBERLAIN, Phillip Hector (Phil):
On Friday 15 July 2022 after a long illness, Phil has died peacefully in Southland Hospital in his 87th year, and sixty third year of marriage. Loved husband of Janice. Dad of Gerard*, Mark (Dunedin), Amanda (Otatara), Virginia and Tony (Lake Hayes), and Louise and Wayne (Wanaka). Cherished Grandad of Caroline Rose, Alice, Timothy, Michael, Ingrid and Maggie. Great Grandad of Ella, Jack, Imogen and Lucy. Loved son of Isobel* and Richard*, brother of Joseph* and Cath, Marie, Edwin* and Kathie, and Richard and Diane. In lieu of flowers donations to St Vincent de Paul would be greatly appreciated and can be left at the service. Family would like to sincerely thank all who have helped with Phil’s care, especially Kew Hospital and at home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 20th July 2022 at 11am, St Mary’s Basilica, Tyne Street Invercargill. A family burial at Otautau Cemetery will follow, arriving approximately 3pm. FAIRWEATHER, Roger Cyril:
On Saturday 16 July 2022, at home, Roger passed away aged 70 years. Dearly loved husband of Jan, loved son of Grace and Cyril*, dearly loved father of Jeremy and Joleen, Kelly and Reece, and Tim. Adored Pop of Jasmyn, Zac, and Lilly; Kobi, and Van; and Charlotte, Sam, and Gemma. Loved brother of Marilyn, John, Christine, Trevor, Karen, Neil, Bryan, Gaye, and Maree, Loved brother-in-law of Fred, Trish, Jennifer*, Fred*, Ian, Jas, Peter, Lyn, Dianne, Gordon, Barry, Carol, Wayne, Sandra, Sandra, Brent, Kerry, and Lyall. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Roger’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill on Thursday 21 July at 11.00am, interment to follow at the Eastern Cemetery. FERGUSON, Lynne:
Passed peacefully at home with her loving family and friends by her side on Saturday, 16th July 2022. Beloved daughter of Peter* and Lois Dryden. Beloved wife of the late Johnny Ferguson and loved mum of Tim, and Daniel. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Sue and John* MacDonald and John and Jocelyn Dryden and a loved aunt of all her nieces and nephews. On Saturday, 16th July 2022, in his 52nd Year. Loved dad of Ihaka, Rangimarie, Tiari. Loved Koro of Ocean. Loved brother of Frances, Isaac, Veronica, Jessica, Wayne and all the extended Hireme Whanau. Ken will be laying in state at Nga Hau E Wha Marae 195 Conon Street, Invercargill from 10am, Wednesday 20th July. A service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held on Friday 22nd July at 10am, followed by an interment at Te Hau Mutunga Urupa, 118 Mason Road, Invercargill

HOLLAND, Raymond Nicholas (Ray):
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Surrounded by his loving family at Gore Hospital. Loved youngest son of the late James and Sarah Holland. Loved brother and brother-in-law of all his late brothers and sisters. Most dearly loved and treasured uncle of all his nieces and nephews, and great friend to many. “Rest in Peace” (Gone Home).
Requiem Mass for Ray will be celebrated in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament. Ardwick Street, Gore, on Thursday, July 21, at 1.30pm. Leaving thereafter for the Charlton Park Cemetery. Special thanks to all staff at Resthaven, St John’s Gore and compassionate care shown to Ray and family from the staff at Gore Hospital.
