Jackie passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 14, 2022. Loved wife of the late Russell Batt, mother of James and Wendy Batt, Geoffrey and Rachael Batt, Rachel and Stanley Malsen. Adored Nana, Great-Nana, sister, Aunty and friend to many. Private cremation held with family. Peacefully, on Sunday, 16th January 2022, at Resthaven, Gore aged 84.

Formerly of Ophir, passed away peacefully at Ripponburn Care Home, Cromwell, after a courageous battle, on Friday, January 14, 2022, aged 94. Dearly loved husband of the late Nancy and the late Phyllis. Loved father and father-in-law of Gordon and Hilary; Anthony and Carol; Christopher and Rhemy; and Philip and Kunyanee. Loved Popa of Tineke; Rachael; and Stephen, and loved “Jim” of Ben, Tim, Michael, and Simon Smaill, and their families. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at St John The Baptist Catholic Church, 3 Killarney Street, Alexandra, at 1.00pm on Wednesday, January 19, followed by a private cremation.
