MURDOCH, Jeffrey Walter (Jeff). Peacefully, with family by his side and after a short battle with cancer and in the care of Calvary Rest Home on Thursday, January 10 2019. Loved father and father-in-law of Simon and Anna and step father of Diane and David Howe, Cate, and Donna. Loved Gamby of Lucy, Jake, Riley, and Mia. Loved brother of Lucille, Patty, Beverley, Lance, Shane*, and Floyd. Loved best friend of Shona and friend of Beverley. A service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Tuesday, January 15 at 2:00pm, the service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery. PEARCE, Newry Mourne (nee Brown) Passed away peacefully at Takitimu Rest home on Thursday 10th January 2019. While holding her hand our precious mother, in her 90th year, gently breathed her last. Mourne was the dearly loved mother and mother in law of Grant and Allison (Tasmania), Jane and Peter (Brisbane), Bruce and Jacki, Carman and Larry, Maurice and Julia. An adored grandmother of Desyne, Joanne and Richard; Tina, Deanne, Aaron and Hannah; Angela, Kelly*, Craig*, Kelsey and Christine and all her great grandchildren. A private cremation has been held. TUCKEY, Ian William James. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on January 11, 2019, aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Cath. Loved father and father-in-law of Anne (Dunedin), John and Janette (Auckland), the late Bruce, Paul and Sandra. Loved Grandad of Niki, Becky and Cam; Tim, Nick and Emma. Brother and brother-in-law of Ruth and Harold Adamson. Brother-in-law of the late Margery Ferris, the late Alison Skipworth, Jim and the late Norma McMaster. The family would like to sincerely thank Margaret at Calvary along with Julie and staff at Iona Unit at Peacehaven. We appreciate their care of Ian over the last 2 years. Special thanks to Dr Robert Bester for his wisdom, compassion and kindness of Ian and his family.
