SPEDEN, Douglas John (Doug). After a battle with dementia Doug (formally of Tokanui & Edendale) passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital, Invercargill on Thursday, 6th September 2018. Loved husband of the late Shirley & father & father-in-law of Murray & Gay (Australia), Linda & Dale, and Pam & Les. Very loved grandfather & great-grandfather of his six grandchildren & nine great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Doug’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Monday, 10th September at 10:00 am, the service will conclude with the burial at the Eastern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service. DUNCAN, Cassidy Elaine. Suddenly but peacefully at home on Wednesday 5 September 2018. Aged 18 years. Loved daughter of Nicola Alexander. ROBBIE, Donald Alexander. Don passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the Peacehaven team on Friday 31st August. Late of Drummond and Oamaru. Dearly loved husband of the late Wynnis and friend of Ann Fox (USA). Loved father and father-in-law of Peter and Ann (Ryal Bush), Nancy Robbie (Wellington). Loved Pop of Stewart, Douglas and Logan Robbie. Granddad of Jared, Kevin, Jeremy, Morgan, Rohan, Evan and Ella. Great-Granddad of six. Dearly loved brother-in-law of Claire and the late Roy Bickers (Christchurch); uncle to Michael and Katie Bickers (Christchurch) and Andrew Bickers (Sydney). A graveside service interring Don’s ashes will be held on Saturday 6 October at 11am at Oamaru Lawn Cemetery, Roxby Street, Oamaru.
