After a long hard struggle and with his loving family by his side at Southland Hospital, on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, five days short of his 71st birthday. Dearly loved husband of Diana, and father and father-in-law of Michael and Rachel, and Paul and Mel. A loved Grandfather of Katherine, Alice, Emily, Sophie, Bradley, and Anna. Treasured son of Doris and the late Rex Cade. Brother and brother-in-law of Errol and Jenny, and Peter and Diane. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Lex’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Saturday, June 8, at 10.00am. The service will conclude with a private cremation. At Queenstown Lakes District Hospital on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Loved and cherished husband of Dorothy (Dot), father and father-in-law of David and Kerrie, Lockie and Simone, Grandad of Hannah Michael and Matthew, Anahera Oak and Saffron, brother and brother-in-law of Ken* and Yvonne Monty, Vin*, Snow and Pam, Nelson and Kathleen Crosbie, Ray and Debbie Cosgrove. A service to celebrate Hec’s life will be held at St Joseph’s Church, 41 Melbourne Street, Queenstown, at 1.30pm on Monday, June 10, followed by a private family interment. Passed away peacefully at Gore Hospital, on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, in his 78th year. Much loved husband of Joan, dearly loved father, father-in-law, and grandfather of Maree and Steven, Katie, Emma, and Jessica Bryce; Sharon and Tim, Ryan, Jake, and Ellie Foster; Patrick and Carole, Jade, and Melvin Hardiman; Diane and Craig, Olivia, Jasmine, and John McCoy; Janine and Nathan, Tyler, and Brooke Kroening; Sean and Tayeb, Sophia, and Bruce Hardiman.
