Peacefully at home on 1st March 2022, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Violet. Loved father and father-in-law of Keven and Karen (Aust), Avril (Tuatapere), Gaylene, (Invercargill), Barry (Aust), Tracy and Jim Hendren (Scotland), Blair and Bronwyn (Pukemaori). Dearly loved granddad and poppa of all his grand and great-grandchildren. A dearly loved brother and brother-in-law. Private cremation has been held, a memorial service to celebrate the life of Leslie will be held on Monday 7th March 2022 at 1.30 pm at the Waiau Town and Country Club, Tuatapere. It is with immense sadness we inform family and friends, our beautiful, loving Mum, Nana and Great Nana passed away peacefully on Monday 28 January 2022 at Calvary Hospital. Much loved Mum and mother-in law of Lisa and Andrew, Michael and Sharon, and Melanie. Cherished Nana of Chantelle and Daniel, Sam and Kyla (Australia), Brodie and Eve, Jesse and Jessica (Australia), Breeanna, Finlay and Kate. Loving Great Nana of Declan and Marius who kept the twinkle in her eyes. Special bond with her Australian family Vicki, Simone, Renee, Tania, and Matthew. Thanks to the staff at Calvary Hospital for the attentive care and kindness they showed Mum during her time there. “We are very thankful for the unconditional love, kindness, fun and laughter she gave us all”. A farewell service for our Mum, will be held on Saturday 5 March 2022, 10.30am at Eastside Baptist Church, cnr Yarrow St and Glengarry Cres, Invercargill. COVID restrictions will apply.
