Peacefully at Rowena Jackson Retirement home on 1 July 2020. Aged 76 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Shirley. Much loved father of Marlene and Jay. Special Dad of Michelle and Russell; Janine and Chris. Proud Grandad Bill of Mya and Ben. Loved brother and brother in law of John and June, Neil and Eileen, Margaret and the late Bruce McColl. Unexpectedly on Wednesday 1 July 2020; aged 57 years. Dearly loved wife and soulmate of Matt, much loved mother of Alex, loved friend of Michael, Madeline, and Emily, cherished sister and sister-in-law of Linda and Terry, Michael and Susan, Peter and Bronwyn, Simon and Kay, Tim and Juliet, a loved aunty and friend. A service to celebrate Helen’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel 75 Fox Street Invercargill on Tuesday 7 July at 1.00pm, private cremation to follow. HORRELL, Henry Charles Maitland (Mait):
Aged 82 years. Passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Gore Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Loved husband of Janice for 62 years. Cherished and loved dad and father-in-law of Elaine and Paul Eaton (Balfour), Jenny and Brian Mahon (Riversdale), Julie-Anne and Chris Black (Gore). Loved grandad of Derek, Sarah, Kerry, Wendy, Brent, Joanne, Kayla, Michael and Ethan. Special great-grandad Mait of Dylan, Sophie, Caitlyn, Lykan, Marissa, Liam, Riley, Meila, Georgia, Jaelyn, Taegan, Erica, Evie, Alec, Hazel, and Harley.

JACKSON, Shirley Elizabeth:
I am writing to let you know that if you are reading this then I have passed away in the comfort and care of my family at the Otago Community Hospice on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at 8.45pm; I leave behind my loving husband Robin, my children and their partners, Carolyn and Phil, Lyndon and Francesca, and my beautiful grandchildren Katie, Brooklyn, Jackson, and Noah. I am the much loved daughter of Andrew and Myrtle Brown, the sister of Donnesse and Graham, Rex and Nadine, Joyce and Bob, and loved sister-in-law of Colleen and Les. I have fought a lot of things over the past few years and am blessed to have had more time with my family than we thought, but I am now at peace with my maker and await the resurrection with Jesus Christ. I’ll leave you with these words from Psalm 73:25-26
“Who have I in heaven but you God, there is no one on earth that I desire beside you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength
of my heart and my
portion forever”.
