It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, after a short illness on Tuesday, 24th December 2019 at Southland Hospital. Dearly loved wife of Eric and loved mother and mother-in-law of Stewart and Anne, Kenneth and Jane, and Carolyn and Keith Nicoll. An adored grandmother and great grandmother. A dear friend of Jackie, and Ron. Ngaire will be resting at home until her service celebrating her life in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Saturday, 28th December at 10:00am. Passed away at Calvary Hospital on the 24th December 2019, in his 73rd year. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Shona. Loving father, father-in-law and Grandfather of Rob and Leah, Elijah, and Zoe. And Kirsten*, Nancy and Andrew Morriss. Loved son of Ted* and Eileen* Hurd. Loved youngest brother and brother-in-law John and Pauline*, and Christine, Margaret, Neville and Rosemary, Peter* and Cynthia*, and Jennifer and Kevin Fox. Peacefully and with much sadness with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, 24th December 2019, aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband of Pat. An adored grandad of Dale and Tina, Cory and Larissa, Nerissa and Mick, Kyra, Bree and great grandad of Rhya. Loved brother of Brian and Linda, Neil & Maureen, Wayne and Jenny. A service to celebrate Eric’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Monday, 30th December at 2:00pm, the service will conclude with a private cremation. THOMPSON, Mildred Alison.
Peacefully after a short illness, with great courage and faith in God, on December 20, 2019, aged 82 years, at Aspiring Enliven Care Centre, Wanaka. Beloved youngest daughter of the late Erol and Bertha Thompson of Dunedin. Loved and loving sister of the late Mavis, Russell and Murray, survived by Ngaire MacDonald (Tauranga), and Margaret Chisholm (Cromwell). Cherished aunty of the late Ngaire, and survived by her nieces and nephews Karen, Ann-Marie, Robert, Lianne, Terry, David, Robyn, Marion, Sandra, Callum, Julie, Vivienne, Neville and Wendy, and their families. She loved her cats and her garden, picnics, her church, her friends, and above all her family. A celebration of Mildred’s life will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 1.30pm at the Alexandra Baptist Church, Gregg Street, followed by a private cremation. WILLIS, Frederick Henry. With heavy hearts we wish to advise that Fred passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday 25 December 2019 surrounded by family. Dearly loved husband of Jennifer, loved and respected father and father-in-law of Warren and Donna, and Grant and Debbie.
