DAWSON, Murray Day:
Peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones at Southland Hospital on March 21st , 2022 aged 87 years. Dearly loved husband to the late June, father and father-in-law to Lindsay, Rua and Geoff Scott, Phil and Jackie (Christchurch) and just the best grandad ever to Dani, and Amie, Jay, and Christian (Christchurch). Loved by Ngaire McKenzie, his last surviving sibling. Loved and cherished by extended family and his many friends. Murray is at home, visits welcome. On Friday 25 th March, Murray will take his final lap of Ascot Park Raceway at 10am, and a funeral service will be held in Club Southland, 105 Leet Street, Invercargill at 2pm. Please note that due to Covid restrictions numbers are limited to 100 and vaccine passes are required. JOLLY, Daphne Katherine (Daph):
Passed away peacefully in Christchurch with loving family by her side on March 23, 2022, aged 88. Beloved wife of the late Terry, much loved and respected mum and mother-in-law of Fay and Kerry Eggeling, Jim and Diane, Doug and Sarah, Rex and Leslie, Wayne, Elaine and Kerry Matthews, and Ian (deceased) and Vicki, loved daughter of the late Joe and Caterina Skeats, loved sister and sister-in-law of Lorraine and Ron Gill, Cecil (deceased) and Betty Skeats, and the late Joe and Mona Skeats, Jack and Iris and Kate Skeats, George and Gladys Skeats, and Raymond Skeats, loved sister-in-law of Robbie and the late Cynthia, Lyn and Brian MacDonald, and Loma and the late Colin McGougan, and the late Ray, beloved nana of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a loved cousin and friend of many. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Summerset Rest Home and Nurse Maude Hospital for their wonderful care of Daph. Special thanks also to Reefton District Nurses for their loving care and support of Terry and Daph over the years, and to Carolyn, Mervyn and Christine, for your support of ‘Terry and Daph from next door’.
