The Southland Rodders Inc put on a real show at the start of the 60th Diamond Cruise for the New Zealand Hot Rod Association last week.
Starting at Bluff last Tuesday morning and now making their way up the country to Cape Reinga, hot rodders could join at any part of the cruise until September 15.
Zone 11 (Southland) executive members Murray and Tania Beck were part of the original 15 that gave the group a good send off, with many talking about the Southern hospitality all the way up to Canterbury.
On Wednesday while still in the south, the group was involved in a shed tour around Southland, visits to Southern attractions, and were seen cruising the streets of Invercargill on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Southern Scooter Challenge was also buzzing through town on Saturday, raising more than $109,000 for prostate cancer.
Hospice Southland and Southland’s Charity Hospital were the benefactors of the fundraising event, that took motor scooter enthusiasts from Bluff to Queenstown.
