Today’s bar admission ceremony at the High Court in Invercargill was extra special for AWS Legal – with four out of the six young lawyers celebrating their admission employed by the firm.
William Swan, Rebecca Scott, Bella Hiroki, and Rebecca Gooby were admitted to the bar by The Hon Justice Osborne, alongside Shania Gibb from PR Law and Kelly Thompson from Anderson Lloyd.
AWS Legal Partner and Board Member, Damien Pine says the wider AWS Legal team is delighted to be able to share this significant achievement with the newly admitted solicitors and their families.
“AWS Legal’s core purpose is to make our people, clients and firm thrive, so to have four of our team admitted to the bar on the same day is certainly a cause for celebration.
William, Rebecca, Bella, and Rebecca bring a diverse range of skills to AWS Legal, making valuable contributions to the firm and to our clients. We are excited to be able to continue to work with them to enable them to reach their full potential as lawyers now that they have been officially recognised as officers of the court.”
William Swan currently works in the Property team, Rebecca Gooby in the Commercial team, Bella Hiroki in the Rural team, and Rebecca Scott also in the Rural team but is based in the AWS Legal Winton Office.
