The guys from Wairaurahiri Wilderness Jet had an Interesting Trip on the Wairaurahiri River to-day!
Posted on their facebook page is Roffy’s story…….as we were boating backup stream from the Waitutu Lodge we noted a fuel drum floating down the river so we slowed down and picked it up then a bag of clothes then a sleeping bag another bag of clothes.
But when a seat out of a jet boat arrived my thoughts changed to “This is bloody serious” so as we came around the corner before Rabbit flat this is what we saw.
No one hurt but one private jet boat opened up like a can opener, The local Helicopter was sorted to fly it out. Boaters we have the Roar coming up so please really check those boats out before going. Can you pick out the Rugby Celebs? Justin Marshall and Robbie Deans, They wont forget this day out.
