Firefighters Now Have Fonterra Factory Fire Under Control

A fire broke out in a boiler room at Fonterra’s Edendale factory about 11.30 Monday evening.

Crews arrived to the fire that was “well-involved”, a spokesman said.

Firefighters worked through the early hours to bring the Fonterra factory fire under control.

Nine fire crews from Invercargill, Edendale, Winton and Mataura fought the fire.

No injuries were reported.
