Fire At ICC Parks and Reserves HQ

A building at the Invercargill City Council Parks and Reserves Department HQ on Racecourse Rd  has all but been gutted in a blaze earlier this afternoon.

ICC Communications manager Hannah McLeod says all staff on site are well and accounted for.

Ms McLeod says the Fire Service have extinguished the blaze but the building has essentially been destroyed.

She says it’s too soon to say what caused the fire.
