This Saturday night marks the grand finale of the ILT Throwback Series – and it’s finishing with one of Invercargill’s most iconic party spots: The Sugar Shack, also fondly known as “The Shack.” 🚗✨ Forward to the Past ✨🚗 This Saturday, take a time travel forward to the past!
🎧 Relive the unforgettable Shack nights with the OG himself – DJ Matty, joined by special guests Big Daddy and Blitzn, spinning all the classic hits late into the night.

About the Throwback Series
Over the past few months, ILT venues have been teleporting Invercargill back in time – recreating some of the city’s most beloved pubs, bars and nightlife haunts for one night only. The response has been huge, with social media posts racking up more than 120,000 views and comments full of nostalgia.
ILT Marketing & Innovation Executive Angee Shand said she’s been blown away by the reaction:
“People absolutely love it – the comments, the stories, the memories… it’s gone viral.”
