Fatal crash – State Highway 1 (Milton Highway)

One person has died in a crash on State Highway 1 (Milton Highway) overnight.

Police were notified of the single vehicle crash at 12.45am today.

A second person from the car sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital.

State Highway 1 between Lakeside Road and Moneymore Road remains closed this morning to allow the Serious Crash Unit to examine the scene.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are under way.

Detour route:
Southbound traffic turn left onto Moneymore Road from State Highway 1, right onto Remote Road, right onto Clarks Road, then right onto Lakeside Road and back onto State Highway 1. Reverse for northbound. More info here.
