Update: Name release – fatal crash Edendale, Southland “
Police can now name the woman killed in a fatal crash on Edendale-Wyndham Road, on the Mataura River Bridge in Southland on Thursday 15 September.
She was 18-year-old Hayley Taylor.
Police extend their sympathies to Hayley’s friends and family at this tragic time.
The Police investigation into the crash is ongoing.

One person has died after a crash on Edendale-Wyndham Road, on the Mataura River Bridge in Southland this evening.
Police and emergency services are in attendance at the crash which happened at approximately 6:10pm.
The road is closed and diversions are in place at Coalpit Road while the Serious Crash Unit attends.
