Exclusive: Listen to the audio from today’s (Wednesday 21st August) ICC extraordinary Wastenet meeting. It’s an action-packed 17 minutes that will help you make up your mind on which of the returing ten councilors you will return to council and who you make Mayor.
The meeting was over as far as Mayor Tim (chair) was concerned in under two minutes but thanks to Lesley Soper we get this 17 minutes of actionwhat happened.
A requisition order requesting the Extraordinary meeting was signed by these five returning councillors:
- Alex Crackett
- Darren Ludlow
- Lesley Soper
- Lindsay Thomas
- Bec’s Amundsen
Cr Ian (Rangi) Pottinger was a stand out, reading an email from council CE Claire Hadley dated August 14th stating the very meeting they were at wasn’t nessasary.
Cr Toni Biddle points our the very clear and obvious division in council and Lindsay Abbott was entertaining.
Note: There is background noise as it was a split second decision to record. This reporter even got told off for clapping and cheering from the media table, if I want to do that I have to go down the back with the public. Also includes sounds of frustration when Lesley Soper goes on and on.
