Great racing, great entertainment, great prizes – that is the recipe for the Invercargill Harness Racing Club’s Cup Day meeting today Saturday, 25 January.
The race programme will feature the prestigious Ascot Park Hotel Invercargill Cup for a stake of $30,000 and the Arden Lodge Robin Dundee Crown amid a great day of racing scheduled to begin at 12noon.
Just being on course could win you big prizes. Take your coupon from the Southland Express along, put it in the bucket in the foyer of the main stand, and you could go into the draw for a seven night stay at the Peninsular Beachfront Resort in Mooloolaba plus $1000 towards your airfares courtesy of Beach Road Holiday Park.
Other winners for this prize will be found at the club’s upcoming meetings before the final draw on Diamonds Day in April. That same coupon will also give you the opportunity to win with The Bet’s In The Bag where four draws will be made to win one of several betting vouchers of up to $200 to use on the day.
To win any of these great prizes you must be on course on the day and be 18 years of age and over. Staff and committee members and their families are not permitted to enter and only one entry per person is permitted.
A losing ticket draw after Race 6 will win one previously unlucky punter a $50 meal voucher courtesy of Level One Restaurant & Bar.
Admission on the day is free as is the children’s entertainment which consists of a bouncy castle, bumper balls, sumo suits, kids tote, Bubble Man and a guess the lollies in the jar competition while there will be a free bag of lollies for every child on course after Race 6.
