The opening round of the South Island Endurance Series will take place at Teretonga Park in Invercargill on Saturday, 14 September, and tickets are now on sale. The event promises a day packed with action, featuring two 1 Hour races and a 3 Hour race.
Local excitement will be driven by Invercargill’s Glen Brazier, who will team up with Auckland driver Andrew Waite in a Lamborghini Huracan GT3. The pair performed well in the recent North Island Series, securing fourth place overall and winning the final round.
In another anticipated highlight, Jordan Michels will aim to repeat his victory in last year’s Class 2&3 1 Hour race. Driving his MARC Ford Mustang, Michels led throughout the race last year, which saw three safety car interruptions.
Tickets for the event are available for $15 from E Hayes & Sons on Dee Street, Invercargill, with children aged 14 and under gaining free entry when accompanied by a paying adult.
The day will kick off at 9.00am with three 15-minute qualifying sessions. The Class 4&5 1 Hour race starts at 10.20am, followed by the Class 2&3 1 Hour race at 11.40am. The headline 3 Hour race will begin at 1.30pm.
