It is the motor racing series that just keeps getting better and better. Round 2 of the Carter’s Tyre Service South Island Endurance Series comes to Teretonga Park in Invercargill later this month on Saturday 24 September, bringing a sensational line up of exotic vehicles to the south.
The growth of the series is such that there will again be two, 1-hour races on the morning of the event followed by a 3-hour race in the afternoon.
The quality of drivers and machinery is absolutely stunning. In the 3 Hour race, top kiwi drivers such as Chris Van Der Drift, Jono Lester, Simon Evans, Paul and Ant Pedersen feature, while there are three McLaren 570 GT4’s, two Mercedes AMG GT3’s, a Brabham BT62, five Porsche’s of varying specification, plus a Mustang, Audi and an FG Falcon SuperTourer in the entries to date.
The 1 Hour races also feature great line ups with the larger class race also featuring McLaren, Chev Corvette, and plenty of Porsche’s.
Testing and practice take place on Friday 23 September with qualifying and racing scheduled from 9.00am on Saturday 24 September.
Tickets will go on sale later this month for a spectacular start to the motor racing season at Teretonga park.
