A serious crash on Mokoreta Tahakopa Road in Southland has left one person with critical injuries and another with serious injuries. The crash, involving a single vehicle, occurred at around 6:35 am this morning.

The police were immediately alerted and emergency services have rushed to the scene. The road has been closed to allow the emergency services to respond. Police are urging motorists to avoid the area. Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are currently underway.
