Emergency services attended a crash involving a single vehicle on Rockdale Road, Invercargill on Saturday morning reported at around 5.45am.  A car left the road and collided with a power pole.

St John was notified of a motor vehicle incident on Rockdale Rd at 05:43am and responded one ambulance, one rapid response unit, and one manager to the scene. Crews assessed and treated one patient who was transported to Southland hospital in a moderate condition.

Powernet was notified and worked to restore power that was out following the crash. Power was out across parts on the city and restored about 8am. Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the crash.
