Police investigating the death of a 36-year-old man in North Dunedin are calling on the public to help by providing any photos or videos that could assist with the ongoing homicide inquiry.
The man was found dead at a property on Great King Street at around 2pm on Friday 3 October. The area, known locally as the "one way north", is usually busy during the day with both vehicle and foot traffic.
Detective Inspector Shona Low, Southern District Criminal Investigations Manager, confirmed that a 25-year-old man has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to reappear at Dunedin District Court on 21 October.
"During this time of day Great King Street, known to many as 'the one way north', is busy with cars and pedestrians, and we believe there is critical information that was recorded on dashcams, CCTV, or general photos and videos," she said.
"We are appealing to anyone who was on Great King Street, between Union Street West and St. David Street between 5am and 2.30pm on Friday, with a specific focus around 11am," she added.

"We believe there is crucial information on any dashcam, CCTV, or general photos and videos that were taken in this area, and we would like to hear from the public as soon as possible."
To help with the investigation, police have created a dedicated online portal where members of the public can upload any relevant footage taken in the area between 5am and 2.30pm on the day.
Footage can be submitted via https://tex.nc3.govt.nz/.
Additional information can be shared through the 105 online reporting tool, by calling police directly, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111. Anyone submitting material is asked to reference the case number 251003/5165.
